Put Me In the Zoo

This week we have been talking about zoo animals.  The children have made a list of animals at the zoo, and are learning about animal habitats and what zookeepers do.  

This week we also learned about the letter Zz, and about measurement.  We've used snap cubes to measure pictures of zoo animals as well as toy zoo animals. 

In the blocks center children have been making a zoo, using blocks and zoo animals.  For our journal this week we discussed which zoo animals we are most anxious to see next week at the zoo!

In art, the children have been making zoo animals.  Think stripes!  :-)
