The students enjoyed learning all about the Ocean!
As Summer is quickly approaching (and the rain keeps coming...), it was nice to envision a nice, warm day at the beach!
We learned about the letter Oo this week. Our centers were ocean themed- building a boat/shipwreck in blocks, "a day at the beach" in dramatic play, sand and water in the sensory table, ocean painting in art, ocean words in the writing center, and an ocean puzzle. The class was also able to explore ocean sensory bottles. We have been working on recognizing simple sight words and are impressed with the progress we have seen!
The school is beginning to show signs of summer, as art work and journals are being sent home. This has been such a fun year! We are looking forward to celebrating all of the fun times we have had together at Field Day next week!
