Easter!

Happy Easter!
This week we learned all about Easter. We discussed the true meaning of Easter and the symbolism of Easter eggs. For Science, we discussed hatching. We helped the students make the connection between the new life that comes from a hatching egg and the new life that Jesus gained by rising from the dead, as well as the new life He created for us by dying on the cross. We learned about the letter Ee, for Easter. We also practiced number/numeral recognition. The students enjoyed having Easter egg hunts in the dramatic play center and playing with Easter grass and eggs in the sensory table. We painted Easter eggs and colored stained glass crosses. We also continued to observe our beanstalks grow this week.
We had a great Holy Week and are looking forward to our Easter celebration Monday morning!
