Valentine's Fun!

 

This week we talked about friendship and celebrated Valentine's Day.  Our letter this week was Vv.  During center time the children had fun creating valentine cards for friends.  The students learned about symmetry, and can identify shapes that are symmetrical.  For science we discussed our 'real' hearts and what our hearts do for our body.  We noticed that they do not look like Valentine hearts at all!  For art this week the children made beautiful mixed media hearts to decorate for our Valentine's Day parties!

The Valentine's Day Parties were so much fun, with tasty treats and fun activities.  Our sincere thanks goes out to all of the parents who helped with the parties.  They were a big success!
