Our theme this week has been My Family! We have loved hearing all about the fun things that our students love to do with families.
Our students brought family pictures to help them create their own family portraits. They did an awesome job!
We also made family trees. The students cut and glued the tree and then added apples for each person in their immediate family.
We built family towers for our math activity. The students used cubes to build the towers. They added one cube for each member of their family. We then talked about the tallest/shortest towers and how many more/less cubes some students had than others.
Our science lesson has been living and nonliving. We talked about the characteristics of the two and how to tell which category an object fits in.
We have been using our whiteboards to practice our handwriting. We have been practicing pull down lines, slide lines, circle back and circle forward.
As always, the kids are having fun and using their imagination during Center Time. Some things they have loved doing this week are washing baby dolls, making planes, and reading books in the library.
Overall, this week has been busy, fun, and full of learning!
A little Razorback extra :)
